Centerpoint Chapel
Corpus Christi, Texas
Welcome to our church
We are an open and loving congregation of Christians devoted to Jesus’ teaching of love for all God’s creation. Our belief is that we are charged to provide a place of worship that is both non-judgemental and open to the needs of the community. Our emphasis is on neither reward nor punishment, but rather on the love that Jesus modeled for his disciples, Jewish and non-Jewish people. We are dedicated to providing the same type of love to the Coastal Bend Community.

Our pastor
Pastor Paul Klaus
Pastor Paul has been at South Shore since February 2021 but has been in ministry since 2000. Concurrently he is also serving as the Pastor of Centerpoint Chapel that meets in the same location. He has served several churches in North and Central Texas as well as western Kansas before landing in Corpus Christi. Before his time in ministry, Paul served in the US Army at FT. Hood, TX from 1986-1989. In the spring of 1998 Paul had an encounter with God on the side of a rode in his Ford Escort wagon in Glenmora, Louisiana listening to a show on the radio called Thru the Bible presented by Dr. J. Vernon McGee. The truth of God’s love and Christ’s sacrifice for him became real to Paul and the direction and course of His life would be forever changed. Paul would later find himself in Paris, Texas serving at a church where he and his wife Lisa would answer calls to ministry. It would take 3 years and driving 100,000 miles to get through seminary. Lisa and Paul have one daughter, Sarah and son in law Brain, who are married, live in Munich, Germany.
The heart of Paul’s ministry is to help people know God and make Him known to the world around them through witness and service. The church serves as a mechanism and institution to make this happen. Paul answered God’s call to South Shore and hopes to spend the remainder of his time in ministry faithfully proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.
